At Haque Academy, we continuously strive to improve the school and community which we are a part of through positive interaction with the people and environment around us. Our aim is to provide students with the knowledge, tools and hopeful inspiration to help the community. Throughout the year, we organize fundraisers, field trips to community service organizations, environmental friendly campaigns etc. in order bring about positive change in the community we live in. To instill the desire of wanting to serve the community, Haque Academy senior students are also required to complete a week long internship at a NGO in the city. This program enables the student to have hands on experience working in different service sectors and have a true understanding what life is like for the millions in your nation.
For our impassioned students, the Community Service Club is another way where they may be able to work for the community. Community Service Club members meet regularly to organize and conduct fundraisers in collaboration with Volunteer Karachi and are also involved with the Rahnuma Schooling Project, where they are involved in teaching students from underprivileged communities.
Through our community service programme:
- Students receive an invaluable learning experience outside of the normal classroom setting.
- Students analyze, evaluate, and synthesize the concepts using problem-solving skills, while at the same time helping their community.
- Students generate positive school-community relations.
- Students experience the feeling of people helping people.
